At exactly 9:50am on Thursday, December 15, 2022.,the Federal Government opened the Second Niger Bridge a 1.6 kilometers long bridge linking Anambra and Delta state.
The fact that it took the federal government almost 53 years to actualise this all important project shows the level.of marginalisation and neglect of the people of the South East Zone since after the Nigeria/ Biafra war . It is a clear indication that Reconciliation, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation (3Rs) policy, which the military government put in place to erase the scars of war, was mere lip service .
Sincerely speaking , the Federal government of Nigeria has just performed one of it’s responsibility even though shamefully behind time . If you ask me there is nothing to be grateful for and nothing to celebrate It is the tax payers money and our collective wealth working.
