The Friendship Centre at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium venue of the 61st Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) was a beehive of energetic activity as young wigs from the various branches of the NBA came out in their numbers to savour the ambience of the location and partake in an evening of refreshment after the first full Conference day – with its highly engaging Opening Ceremonies, plenary and breakout sessions, and an assortment of drinks and snacks, pulsating music and interesting company.
The evening was put together by the distinguished Abuja-based legal luminary, Yakubu C. Maikyau, SAN and his staff, in his usual and well-known practice of identifying with the younger members of the profession – and demonstrating his solidarity with their concerns – as part of his wider and long-standing engagement with the Bar and its members.
