May I facilitate with the Enugu State Judiciary for a successful 2021/2022 legal year. Legal year is celebrated every year by the judiciary to mark the beginning of a new year. It is an occasion set out to account for the stewardship, delivery of services to the people, stock taking and reflection of activities by the leadership of the 3rd arm of government.
It is also a time to thank God for his mercies, goodness, strength, love and faithfulness upon our live through the year 2021.
Enugu State judiciary under the able leadership of Hon. Justice N. P Emehelu. FCIArb, F. DRI, FICMC could be described as a golden era of the Judiciary of Enugu State. As a member of the Enugu Bar, I can affirm the testimonies of the achievement of her leadership.
In her address, the CJ expressed joy and thank God for life and the peaceful relationship the judiciary shares with the executive governor of the state, His excellency Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi.
She expressed sadness that the the Judiciary lost a good number of its members within the year in view to the ugly hands of death. Among those who loss their life in the year in view was my good friend G. A Ekoh Esq. May his soul rest in peace.
The Chief Judge of Enugu State will by 7th of this month retired as the chief officer of Judiciary, it is my hope that her successor will consolidate her achievement in the judiciary.
