Mr Ede Asenoguan has written a eulogy in honour of Late Elder J.O Aghimien, SAN who passed unto eternal glory on the 2nd of February,2022 at the ripe old age of 80 years.
His words:
” We have lost a legal colossus. Elder J.O Aghimien, SAN was an embodiment of everything that makes the legal profession whole. He was father to all and mentor to so many. His generous personality endeared him to so many people within and outside the legal profession. He contributed very largely to the development of the legal profession in Edo State and Nigeria at large and his legacies will resonate with generations to come.

Now that our beloved father and mentor has closed his eyes to time and opened same to eternity, we can only thank God for keeping him with us for 8 decades within which he imparted our lives massively, even though we would have loved to have him with us a little longer, but we cannot question the wisdom of the Almighty who has deemed it fit to call him to eternal rest, having fulfilled his purpose here on earth.
My heart goes out to the family of our dear father and I enjoin them to find solace in the fact that his life was one of fulfilment of God’s purpose for which he will now rest in His bossom for eternity.
May the soul of late Elder J.O. Aghimien, SAN rest in peace. Amen.
