The Nigerian Bar Association’s Women Forum (NBA-WF) has disclosed that it would hold its 3rd Annual Conference on Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31, 2023 in Abuja, the Nigerian federal capital.
The Conference, a 2-day hybrid affair which will commemorate the 2023 edition of the International Women’s Day (IWD) will hold under the theme, ‘TEACH HER IN: INNOVATING FOR GENDER EQUITY.’
A constitutionally- established arm of the NBA, the NBAWF was set up to address matters affecting the well-being of the Nigerian female lawyer, and to empower female lawyers for success by identifying challenges and providing innovative solutions to critical issues affecting them. This the organization aims to achieve through advocacy, mentorship, workshops and conferences on gender issues, leadership, personal development, career growth, work-life balance, and so forth.
The motivation behind this year’s 2-day Conference, and by extension the IWD commemoration, is that through the innovative use of technology, female lawyers will be better positioned to overcome the biases and negative stereotypical that hold them back from fulfilling their career and personal potentials.
Intending participants, guests, observers, etc. are advised to visit the NBA-WF website (www.nbawomenforum.org.ng) for further details, or send their inquiries to programs@nbawomenforum.org.ng
