The Nigerian Bar Association (Lagos Branch) has announced the creation of a CLE financial credit purse. The announcement was made by the Chairman of the CLE Committee of the Branch, Mr. Mayowa Owolabi, at the Gala/ Induction Dinner of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN) which held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday the 23rd of September 2022.
On behalf of the Chairman of the Branch, (Mr. Ikechukwu Uwanna), Mr. Owolabi expressed the branch’s profound gratitude to the President of BRIPAN, Mr. Ayo Akintunde SAN and the entire Council for the discounted training which was provided to the members of the Lagos Branch. Based on the initial concession, the training was provided to NBA Lagos Branch Members at a discount of fifty-three percent (%). Due to the significant number of members who registered for the training, the CLE Committee was able to secure a further discount which increased the discount provided for the training to Sixty-Six percent (%).
The differential percentage has been designated as the CLE financial credit purse, with individual accounts opened for the branch members who participated in the BRIPAN Training and will be applied as credit towards future trainings and collaborations with other professional associations and institutes.
