A former minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili has frowned at recent attacks against Igbos in Lagos over their political choices.
Recall that some Yorubas are leading a campaign against Igbo people in Lagos ahead of the governorship election, even as far as allegedly burning down a spare parts market dominated by Igbos.
This is despite the fact that many Yoruba also support Peter Obi and the Labour Party, likewise some Igbos are strong supporters of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Labour Party won Lagos State in the Presidential election and there are fears in some quarters that the same result may repeat during the governorship polls.
Videos of threats are flying on social media and just yesterday, the Akere Spare Parts Market in Olodi-Apapa, Ajegunle was set ablaze with accusing fingers pointing to a particular direction.
And reacting on Wednesday, Mrs Ezekwesili, a former presidential aspirant, said the baiting must stop immediately
“The ethnic baiting currently going on in Lagos is terribly unfortunate.
“Imagine unscrupulous politicians and their allies labeling Igbo people as enemies of Lagos? What’s that?
“You’re all propagating such dangerous rubbish for selfish political gain?
“Better, STOP IT NOW!” She tweeted.
