Grace Ayanbimpe, a professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology at the University of Jos, and her husband, Isaac Iyanbimpe, who were abducted on Monday, have been freed.
The professor and her husband were abducted on Monday when gunmen accused of being kidnappers stormed their home behind Haske Quarters, Lamingo in Plateau State’s Jos North Local Government Area.
According to reports, the hostages were released on Monday night, just hours after they were kidnapped.
On Tuesday morning, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Ubah Gabriel Ogaba, reported that they were rescued unharmed.
According to him, the production was assisted by local hunters and vigilantes.
