Unknown gunmen have abducted dozens of students at the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
As of press time, the incident’s details were hazy.
However, according to the report, the incident happened on Sunday night, when the gunmen raided the campus, firing sporadically to frighten off university security before abducting several students to an undisclosed location.
Mrs Rosemary Waku, the university’s Director of Information, Protocol, and Public Relations (IPPR), confirmed this on Monday morning.
DSP Anene Sewuese Catherine, the state’s Public Relations Officer, has reported the incident.
She vowed to make a comment as soon as possible.
