The committee is tasked with conducting section elections, which would result in the formation of a new team to lead the operations of the resurrected section.
The election could put an end to the section’s upcoming Annual Conference.
It can be noted that Prof. Ananaba was instrumental in reviving the then-dormant segment after it had been dormant for many years.
The branch, one of only three in the NBA, hosted the much-anticipated Annual Conference in Aba, Abia State, in November 2019.
The Ananaba Administration is about to hold another historic annual conference in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Given the number of well-known speakers who have announced their attendance at the meeting, as well as the solid backing of core stakeholders, the conference is expected to be well-attended and debated for several years to come.
It is the first in-person conference led by the NBA in almost two years, after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
The conference’s theme is “The importance of public interest in Nigerian governance.”
The conference’s registration opened earlier this year at https://nbaspidel.ng/nba-spidel-conference/, and early bird registration closes on May 15, 2021.
