Having duly met all the electoral requirements as outlined by the Constitution of the NBA and the Guidelines of the Electoral Committee of the NBA (“ECNBA”), Mr Ede Asenoguan has by an ECNBA letter dated 20th May, 2022 been cleared to contest for the post of General Secretary of the NBA, 2022-2024. The learned gentleman of the bar issued the following statement after his clearance:
“Distinguished Learned Silks, Life Benchers, Benchers and colleagues of our great Association,
I wish to most humbly inform you that I have been found worthy by the ECNBA to contest for the post of General Secretary, NBA, 2022-2024. The NBA umpire gave me the nod vide a letter dated, 20th May, 2022 having found me worhty in this regard.
I want to use this opportunity to express my unalloyed appreciation to you for the support thus far. The encouragement and moral support has been unprecedented. I am grateful.
I am equally still appealing that your support for me remains in my quest to offer quality representation from the Secretariat. I shall keep you updated on subsequent developments regarding my humble aspiration.
