The extensive lineup of activities expected to feature during the much-anticipated 62nd Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), which opened on Friday, August 19, 2022, began with a pair of activities, both spiritual and temporal.
In one of those activities, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the Conference unveiled a ground-breaking “Confrencepedia”, an app designed to guide delegates on how to manoeuvre the Conference. The colourful 49-page document contains every important information a Conferee needs to meander through both the daily proceedings of the event, as well as the exciting Lagos landscape with ease and comfort, and is LIVE on the WHOVA App.
Apart from containing Welcome Addresses from the 5 NBA Branch Chairmen in Lagos State, namely, Lagos, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Badagry and Epe, the Confrencepedia also has a comprehensive “Outline of Sessions and Topics” for the Conference.
It also contains the major events and schedules for the AGC including the aforementioned Jumaat Service, Health Walk, Tree Planting Campaign, multi-denominational Church Service, Chess & Scrabble Competition, as well as the President’s Dinner.
Others include details about the Friendship Center, the Chief Judge’s Cocktail, the Closing Party (tagged “UnBarred 5.0,”), Explore Lagos, information about nearby hospitals for serious emergency medicare, information about pharmacy stores, relaxation centres & hangout spots, top-notch restaurants, and 24-Hour fuel stations.
The Confrencepedia also outlines the dates for social events/parties to be hosted by the respective branches of the NBA in Lagos State. For example, while Lagos Branch will hold its party at the Eko Atlantic City on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, the Epe Branch will also hold its party on the same day. The NBA Badagry Branch will hold its party the next day, while the NBA Ikeja Branch Party holds its own gig on August 25, 2022.

The 16-member Local Organising Committee (LOC) has the NBA Lagos Branch Chairman, Mr. Ikechukwu Uwanna at the helm, while Ms. Chinenye Oragwu is the Secretary and Head of the Health Walk & Health Centre.
