As the 61st Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association comes to a close, I wish to use this medium to congratulate all my learned colleagues – and especially the leadership of the NBA and the Technical Committee on Conference Planning (TCCP) for this year’s confab on a hugely successful event.
I believe we were all positively impacted and enriched by our deliberations here in Port Harcourt. We were once again afforded unique opportunities to network, renew old acquaintances and make new ones. I, for one, have been inspired by the quality of the discourse among stakeholders in our profession and our nation, and even more resolute in my desire to contribute my quota towards improving the fortunes of our dear profession – and I believe I speak for most of us in this regard.
As we return to our respective bases, I bid all my fellow delegates a fond farewell (hopefully a short one, until we gather again soon, God willing) and I pray God to grant all of us journey mercies back to our destinations. Thank you.
