A former Councillor in Ohafia LGA of Abia State, Mr Uduma Uguru, has received the corporal punishment in public, meted on him by youths in Amaekpu Ohafia, for allegedly disrespecting a serving Councillor in the area.
Mr Uguru, who is popularly known in the town as Makiba, was humiliated by the youths in Amaekpu community for allegedly failing to pay for a tipper truck hired for a direct labour road project.
The youths, who were seen in the trending video, flogging the Ex-Councillor, also ordered him to pay a N100,000 fine before he could be freed.
Apart from the flogging, the youths were seen in the video marching and stepping on the ex councillors laps and knees.
The video which has circulated in various media platforms in the state, has attracted outrage from different viewers, with several members of the Abia public describing the actions of the youths as barbaric and a jungle justice.
