Wike shot himself on the leg – Aisha Yesufu on Tinubu’s access to Fubara

A socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has claimed that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, shot himself on the leg by handing Rivers State to President Bola Tinubu.

In a post on her official X handle on Saturday, Aisha Yesufu claimed that Rivers is Wike’s “bargaining chip”.

Her assertion followed the now resolved face-off between Fubara and Wike.

Yesufu noted that Tinubu now has direct access to Rivers State through Fubara, a development which she sees as a miscalculation on Wike’s part.

She wrote, “Wike is looking for relevance and an unnecessary distraction!
He shot himself in the foot when he handed Rivers that was his bargaining chip to Tinubu.

“Tinubu now has direct access to Rivers via Fubara who will be loyal!

“As for Abuja, it is not that easy to have a hold over like Rivers. Plots of lands are not enough to buy that kind of loyalty

“Election is what we should focus on. No rigging can happen without people agreeing to do so.

“Instead of focusing on the institutions, focus on the people in the institutions that do the rigging.”
