Today, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State will find out whether he is guilty or innocent in the allegations of certificate forgery brought against him by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The judgment will take place at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The case, filed by the governor against the NYSC to challenge the allegations, will be decided by Justice Inyang Ekwo.
A notice of judgment delivery, seen by a NewsNow correspondent, indicates that the judgment in the suit numbered FHC/ABJ/CS/1611/2023 will be delivered within a few hours.
Supporters, political followers, and friends of the governor have packed the courtroom to witness the proceedings.
Prior to his inauguration on May 29, Governor Mbah sued the NYSC and its Director, Corps Certification, Ibrahim Muhammad, for publishing a disclaimer denying the issuance of a discharge certificate to him on January 6, 2003.
On May 15, Justice Ekwo issued a restraining order to prevent the NYSC, Muhammad, and their agents from making such publications until the substantive matter is heard and determined
