No fewer than six American citizens, including several public officials, have been indicted and arrested in connection with alleged election fraud in Texas.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton via a post on his official X handle.

According to the statement, the individuals were implicated in election-related offences linked to a vote-harvesting scheme in Frio County, Texas.

The arrests followed the execution of search warrants in Frio, Atascosa, and Bexar Counties in August 2024, after a multi-year investigation conducted by Paxton’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Those arrested include Frio County Judge Rochelle Camacho, former Frio County Elections Administrator Carlos Segura, and Pearsall City Council Member Ramiro Trevino.

Also named were Pearsall City Council Member Racheal Garza and Pearsall ISD Trustee Adriann Ramirez, who faces three counts of vote harvesting, as well as alleged vote harvester Rosa Rodriguez.

According to the report, all six individuals were taken into custody on 2 May 2025.

The investigation remains ongoing, led by Paxton’s Election Integrity Unit in collaboration with the Frio County District Attorney’s Office.
