Protests hit Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Tuesday following the unavailability of New Naira notes in the state.
The angry protesters touched major areas in the state capital making bonfires on the major roads.
It was reported that some banks in the area were vandalised by the angry protesters while billboards of political parties were also destroyed in the process.
The situation has, however, forced schools and banks in the capital city to close abruptly.
The First Bank in the Sapon area of the state capital was one of the banks vandalized by the angry protesters, many of whom had crowded the ATM points at the Bank.
