The Edo State Police Command disclosed it had arrested the recently deposed 45-year-old Chief priest of Okhorimi, Kelvin Igbinovia, and his syndicate for having prohibited weapons and a suspected human skull.

In a related development, the Secretary of the Benin Traditional Council, Frank Irabor, has denied allegations of aiding the deposed Ohen of Okhoromi, Kelvin Igbinovia, in demolishing property in the community.
The Okhoromi Community carried out a protest with banners inscribed with the message, “Frank Irabor, Stop Supporting evil act”, on Wednesday, attracting public concern over his alleged involvement.
In a statement by Irabor on Friday, he noted that the claims that he visited the community four days before the protest and got a plot of land for his support for Igbinovia were false and baseless.
Irabor has given the leader of the protest, Victor Edosomwan, a seven-day ultimatum to provide evidence of the land he was given or retract the claim, while also urging authorities concerned to investigate the claim.
He said, “This is to debunk the claim making the rounds that I, Frank Irabor backed the deposed Ohen in the demolition of a house in the community.
“A protest led by Victor Edosomwan was held and they said I got a plot as a reward for the support I gave the former Ohen and also visited the community four days before the protest. These claims are entirely false and baseless.
“To uphold my integrity, I have given Victor Edosomwan, a seven-day ultimatum to provide evidence to support the allegations or retract the claims.
“I am also urging the relevant authorities to investigate these allegations and take action against those spreading false information.
“I am confident that a thorough investigation will reveal the truth and clear my name of these baseless allegations,” he added.
