According to Wakil, after receiving the complaint on December 30, 2024, police officers from Tilden Fulani Divisional Police Headquarters were dispatched to the scene and arrested the suspect.
The police spokesman added that the suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation and revealed how he manipulated the victim.
According to the suspect, he frequently brought food to the boy and, on several occasions, gave him money in amounts of N300, N200, and N100, respectively
He added that he used these opportunities to exploit him, believing he was “reaping the benefits” of his actions.
