The democratization of information has been a blessing but it has also led to a scourge of fake news. For some reasons, harbingers of fake news see the legal profession as a soft target, perhaps due to the honour and prestige that is attached to the profession, which by extension is the Nigerian Bar Association.
One of the few ways to effectively address the menace of fake news is to objectively and immediately state the facts in a way that unmasks the falsehood inherent in a contrived narrative. This, we shall constantly look out for, and immediately address to retain the good image of the Association in the minds of unsuspecting members of the general public.
