The Commandant of the Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, CC Panam Musa Buba, has said that personnel of the corps arrested three suspected vandals of critical national assets and infrastructure within the state.

He stated that the arrest followed intelligence-led operations carried out by the command’s operatives across the state, adding that the suspects were apprehended while attempting to dispose of vandalised electrical components belonging to Kauru General Hospital in Pambegua.

BUBA, who disclosed this to journalists at the NSCDC Kaduna State Headquarters on Friday, October 17, 2025, identified the suspects as Sani Adamu, 18, Abdulrahaman Isiya, 18, and Isma’il Musa, 20.

According to him, items recovered from the suspects include an electrical generator casing, a bunch of damaged copper wires, among others.

Similarly, the command’s Special Response Team intercepted vandals targeting a telecommunications mast used for the rural telephony programme at the Kaduna Switching Centre.

“However, the vandals took to their heels as NSCDC personnel recovered the vandalised mast,” he said.

The NSCDC commandant, while condemning the criminal acts, described them as “deliberate sabotage against national development and the wellbeing of citizens.”
