The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Sokoto Branch, has passed a resounding vote of confidence on its Chairman, Rashidat Mohammed, Esq., during its first Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, 5th July 2025.
The motion, which came as part of the highlights of the meeting, was moved by Mr. A. Y. Abubakar, Esq and seconded by D. J. Munir, Esq.,
In his submission, A. Y. Abubakar, Esq. noted that since assuming office, Rashidat Mohammed Esq has demonstrated exceptional capacity in steering the affairs of the Branch, fostering unity among members, promoting professionalism, and engaging stakeholders in the legal and judicial sectors. He commended her visible efforts in repositioning the Branch as a vibrant and progressive chapter of the NBA.
The motion was unanimously adopted by the general house, with members applauding the Chairman for her outstanding service and pledging their continued support for her administration.
The vote of confidence was passed based on Rashidat Muhammed’s effective leadership and commitment to service.
The 2025 Annual General Meeting marked a milestone for the Branch as it reviewed its activities over the past year, discussed future plans and reinforced its commitment to the ideals of justice, rule of law, and professional excellence.
