Among the highlights of the event is the classy Opening Ceremony which in previous year’s has been graced by the cream of the Nigerian bar and bench.

This year’s Annual Law Week will open on Saturday, June 15, 2019 with a Health Walk and a session of aerobics. On Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, members of the Law Week Committee, Branch Executives and other lawyers will visit the Ikoyi and Kirikiri prisons in Lagos – an activity which will feature a Legal Clinic for the inmates, as well as the presentation of various gifts.

Other activities also include health checks for branch members at the foyer of the Lagos High Court on the 19th of June, and a Welcome Cocktail at the same venue.

The Closing Party which will bring down the curtain of the 2019 Law Week, as expected, will attract scores of young wigs and their senior counterparts, all of who are expected to be  gorgeously dressed, and would be treated to a rich and diverse menu of food, drinks and an eclectic mix of contemporary and ‘old school’ music in a session expected to last through the night.

The driving force for this year’s law week is the learned Senior Advocate, Oyetola Oshobi, SAN, who also anchored last year’s highly acclaimed Law Week. The Law Week Planning Committee has outlined a rich and diverse cast of A-list speakers for this year’s event.
