NBA Ikeja Branch Visits Attorney-General of Lagos, Seeks Synergy to Review the New High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019
The Executive Committee of NBA Ikeja branch on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of Lagos State Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN.
The Executive was accompanied by two elders of the branch, Femi Falana, SAN and Jimoh Lasisi, SAN.
The Ikeja team was well received by the Honourable AG in company of the outgoing Permanent Secretary and Solicitor General of Lagos State.
The branch Chairman, Prince Dele Oloke said the essence of the visit was to congratulate the Honourable Attorney-General on his new appointment.
He further added that the Branch is determined to collaboratively work with the ministry on the rule of law and on issues and activities affecting the Bar.
Prince Oloke and his team also sought the support of the Attorney-General on the review of the new High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.
According to him, the New High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) contains some obnoxious provisions.
The Ikeja Bar Chairman also appealed to the Hon. Attorney-General, Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN, for his assistance in ensuring the completion of the NBA Ikeja Secretariat.
The Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice appreciated the Ikeja Executive, described their visit as a thoughtful move.
He promised to work closely with the Branch to ensure an efficient justice delivery in Lagos State.
