The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has confirmed that four of the country’s most accomplished legal minds will take centre stage at its 2025 Annual General Conference (AGC) in Enugu, speaking on the forward-looking theme “A Peep into the Future.”
Leading the panel is Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, FCIArb (UK), FCIMC, a Life Bencher and Harvard-trained negotiator. As the founder of Akinboro & Co., a top-tier law firm with offices in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt, Akinboro is renowned for his mastery of complex negotiations, deep commitment to justice, and decades of service to the Bar.
Joining him is Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, an accomplished litigation, arbitration, and ADR expert at ALP NG & Co. A SAN-designate, she chaired the 2024 NBA AGC Planning Committee and is celebrated for her expertise in resolving high-value domestic and international disputes. Her influence extends across global arbitration platforms, where she actively shapes conversations on dispute resolution.
Also on the panel is Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, Managing Partner at Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore. With over two decades of distinguished practice, Akangbe has built a formidable reputation for navigating high-stakes disputes while championing human rights and advancing gender equality within the legal profession.
The line-up is completed by Prof. Foluke Dada-Lawanson, a trailblazing Professor of Human Rights and Technology. Her 30-year career blends academia and legal practice, marked by leadership in international research collaborations, substantial grant acquisitions, and the mentorship of emerging legal scholars across continents.
