The Nigerian Navy has declared zero tolerance for indiscipline and corrupt practices among the senior and junior officers as well as the ratings, especially in the anti-crude theft and anti-illegal bunkering patrols.

The Commanding Officer, Forward Operating Base Escravos, Navy Cpt I.F. Okoloagu, while addressing the naval personnel on Monday, also told them that the authorities would ensure that their welfare was taken care of.

“The Nigerian Navy maintains zero tolerance for indiscipline and any corrupt practice,” he maintained.

The occasion was the FOB Escravos Fourth Quarter Route March.

Okoloagu said, “The Chief of the Naval Staff is determined to ensure that personnel welfare remains paramount,” just as he reminded the officers and ratings that “the Nigerian Navy maintains zero tolerance for indiscipline and any corrupt practice.”

Speaking on the quarter route march, Okoloagu said, “The aim of the exercise is to ensure that officers and men of the Nigerian Navy are physically fit for the task they had been assigned to do.

“Also, the exercise aims at promoting comradeship and for the populace to know that they have a Navy that is physically fit to carry out their assignments.”

The route march, which lasted for about two and a half hours, was led by Okoloagu alongside other senior and junior naval officers.
