A man who raped two women while they slept has been jailed for 10 years.
Jonathan Moroney, 39, carried out his crimes at a property in Portlethen, Aberdeenshire.
Moroney had claimed the victims colluded against him, but was found guilty by a jury at the High Court in Glasgow.
Lord Renucci imposed a 13-year extended sentence, meaning Moroney will be supervised after his release from jail.
The offences happened between 2012 and 2023.
The charges stated Moroney, of Aberdeen, attacked the first woman on various occasions, including rape and assault.
The second woman was also raped and assaulted.
Lord Renucci said the sentence was put in place to “protect women”.
“You continue to deny responsibility for the offences and have expressed no remorse,” he said.
“You have engaged in a catalogue of victim blaming – saying that they have been colluding against you.
“Whatever you think, you are not the victim here – you are here because of your behaviour towards them.”
The judge said letters of support had been tendered by friends and family.
“But there is no-one to blame other than you,” he added.
“The victim impact statements tell me the impact of your behaviour is significant.”
Ian Duguid KC, defending, told the court that his “position is unchanged” and still claimed the women colluded against him.
