The Gombe State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested a 27-year-old suspect for allegedly burning four houses.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Wednesday in the Dele Jesu community of Balanga Local Government Area of the state.
Confirming the development, the NSCDC State Commandant, Muhammad Muazu, said the arrest followed a tip-off on the development and that the corps quickly intervened and arrested the suspect.
He said the suspect was identified as Segun Bulus, adding that the act caused damage and left families homeless.
Muazu said, “The reason for the act was said to be a result of a little misunderstanding between the culprit and a kid brother to the victim.
“The suspect was apprehended and brought to the office in Cham, while the investigation is still ongoing.
“As soon as the investigation is completed, the suspected will be taken to court to face the wrath of the law.”
