The Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, CP Bello Shehu, has commended five officers for rejecting a ₦1 million bribe during the arrest of suspected car thieves, while unveiling a new security strategy aimed at strengthening public safety and operational efficiency across the state.

He revealed this during his maiden strategic conference with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and heads of Tactical Units.

As part of the event, he presented commendation letters to five officers who displayed exceptional integrity by rejecting a ₦1 million bribe and successfully arresting two suspected car thieves.

In his address, the Commissioner reemphasised the core values of the Nigeria Police Force—integrity, commitment, and service.

He urged all officers to maintain high standards of discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

“Integrity, diligence, and commitment to duty are the hallmarks of the Force. I commend officers who uphold these values and charge others to follow suit,” the CP stated.
