Gunmen attacked Haske Baptist church in Manini Tasha village, Kuriga Ward, Chikun local government of Kaduna State, according to the Kaduna State government.
A Medical Doctor, Zechariah Dogonyaro, was killed, while four other worshipers were kidnapped, according to Mr. Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who made the announcement on Sunday.
Mr. Aruwan stated that the incident was confirmed to the authorities about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
“At around 9:30 a.m., armed bandits assaulted congregants at Haske Baptist Church in Manini, killing a worshipper, Dr Zechariah Dogonyaro,” according to security services.
“Around four worshippers were kidnapped from the church, according to the article.
“The bandits wounded one resident, Shehu Mainika, in the general sector. ”
According to the sentence
“Armed bandits attacked Bagoma village in Birnin Gwari LGA and killed six people, including Bala Gwamna, Kasage Ali, Mai Jakki, Makeri Kugu, Haruna Kawu, and Ali Agaji, according to another report obtained from security agencies.
“One individual was wounded in the attack: Salisu Gwamna, the deceased Bala Gwamna’s older brother.
“An assault by armed bandits at Amfu village in Kachia LGA, in which one Mrs Rahila Dauda was shot dead, was also confirmed.
“Finally, the partially burned body of Abubakar Sarki Musa, a seven-year-old boy, was discovered in an unfinished building in Hayin Danmani district, Rigasa, Igabi LGA.
“After luring the boy into the abandoned building in a bid to snatch a phone found in his custody, Saddique Umar, an 18-year-old resident of the city, confessed to killing him.
“Governor Nasir El-Rufai strongly condemned the assault on the church in Chikun LGA, describing it as a disturbing act perpetrated by depraved individuals who are far away from civilization.
“Attacking innocent worshipers who were practicing their natural and lawful right to gather in worship, according to the Governor, was the worst kind of bad.
“The Governor expressed his sincere condolences to the deceased’s families as well as the Haske Baptist Church.
“The Governor prayed for the souls of those killed in all of the attacks to rest in peace and also wishes the injured victims quick recovery.
