The Hon. President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip, Ph.D, OFR, has approved the appointment of four distinguished jurists to serve as Vacation Judges during the Court’s 2025 Annual Vacation.
According to the schedule, the Court will observe its annual Vacation from Monday, 28th July 2025 to Tuesday, 23rd September 2025. During this period, normal court sittings will be suspended, except for urgent applications.
The appointed Vacation Judges and their assignments are as follows:
- Hon. Justice M. A. Namtari – To sit at the Abuja Judicial Division from Monday, 28th July to Monday, 25th August 2025
- Hon. Justice Hassan Yakubu – To sit at the Lagos Judicial Division during the same period
From Tuesday, 26th August to Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, the following judges will take over:
- Hon. Justice Emmanuel Subilim – Abuja Judicial Division
- Hon. Justice A. J. Damachi-Onugba – Lagos Judicial Division
The Court emphasizes that only matters deemed urgent will be entertained during this period.
