Mr Chima Anolue, a lecturer at the department of Psychology of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka has been allegedly killed by his house help with a pestle.
The domestic servant whose identity is yet to be known allegedly commotted the act at their resident at Agu Awka, the Anambra state capital.
The suspect was said to have hit his master who was identified as till he became lifeless. The suspect was caught by a local vigilante while he was trying to escape and was said to have confessed to the crime.
Eye witnesses after the incident said the suspect still used kitchen knife on the deceased after hitting his head with a pestle even when he had become lifeless and was in a pool of blood.
The suspect was handed over to law enforcement agents for investigation and prosecution.
