In 2010, when Chuks Mbamala embarked on creating a scheme aimed at helping young lawyers in Enugu save part of their modest earnings, the idea seemed almost impossible.
It was widely known that even senior lawyers—under whom many of these young professionals worked—struggled with saving due to low incomes. If the principals themselves found it challenging to save, it was clear that junior lawyers, who relied on those principals for their pay, faced an even grimmer reality.
At a critical time when saving seemed nearly impossible for young lawyers, the Legalsave Initiative offered a beacon of hope.
Determined to make a difference, the founder introduced what could be described as a structured savings program, helping instill a much-needed savings culture among these lawyers. Despite the daunting nature of this task, Chuks Mbamala pressed on with unwavering commitment.
Today, the story is different. Thanks to the Legalsave Initiative, saving has gradually become a norm among young lawyers in Enugu. The resilience of the founder in pushing through challenges is commendable, and the initiative now provides a safe, reliable platform for both young and senior lawyers to save effortlessly, with guaranteed security for their funds.
I wholeheartedly endorse the Legalsave Initiative to all.
