Fuel queues: NNPC confirms 30-day sufficiency, warns against panic buying

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has assured that there will be ample supply of petroleum motor spirit (PMS)  for the next 30 days, hence motorists are warned to desist from panic buying.

NNPC management made this assurance through a statement released on Thursday 19th of October, 2023 in response to the appearance of queues in some parts of Lagos and other locations in the country.

The retail management of the NNPC noted in the statement that the queues are as a result of reduced Depot loadout in Apapa, Lagos but expects the delays to clear out in the next couple of days.

The statement reads:

“We assure all Nigerians that there is ample supply with the sufficiency of at least 30 days,” the statement said.

The NNPC, however, advised motorists to desist from panic buying as distribution will normalise over the next couple of days.
