The Indoor Hall of Freedom Park on Lagos Island was a beehive of activity on Tuesday evening, July 12, 2022 as lawyers from various levels of experience at the Bar gathered at the iconic venue to celebrate the foremost lawyer, Yakubu C. Maikyau, SAN, and to mark the final stretch of his campaign to become President of the NBA come election day – Saturday, July 16, 2022.
The event, which was organised by friends and well-wishers to mark the conclusion of the learned Senior Advocate’s grueling nationwide campaign to lead the next executive council of the NBA, was an opportunity for the attendees – most of them young lawyers and family members – to unwind, network and sample the delicacies, drinks and wines on offer. The music was a roof-raising affair.
It was also an opportunity for the candidate, YC Maikyau, SAN to mingle, dance and pose for photographs with his teeming admirers, as they affirmed their support for his leadership of the Bar for the next two years.
