This development follows Binani’s appeal to the Court of Appeal following the dismissal of her petition by the Adamawa State Governorship Electoral Petitions Tribunal in October 2023. The tribunal had affirmed Fintiri’s victory, prompting Binani to file an appeal at the appellate court.
As Monday approaches, tensions are rising among the supporters of the two principal figures – Fintiri and Binani. While Fintiri has the support of many as the incumbent governor, Binani, who performed well in the March 2023 election, also has a significant following around the state.
