An ex-convict, Philip Ojedayo, who was arrested by the operatives of the Lagos State Police Command attached to the Rapid Response Squad for allegedly vandalising an iron material used to fence a park in the Ketu area of the state was arraigned before a Lagos court on Thursday yet again.
This was contained in a statement shared on the Facebook page of the RRS on Thursday.
According to the statement, the suspect was arrested at about 11:30 pm on Tuesday during a night patrol of the area.
The statement read, “Around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Lagos Rapid Response Squad team on night patrol of Ojota and Ketu arrested a suspected vandal, Philip Ojedayo, 27 years old.
“He was carrying an iron rod used to fence a park. Ojedayo is an ex-convict. He has been in and out of Kirikiri Correctional Centre three times.
“He was last released in February 2025. He would be arraigned in court today (Thursday).”
It was eported on May 15 that an ex-convict, Olayinka Oluwaseyi, was arrested by the Ketu Division of the state Police Command for attempted robbery on the Mile 2 Bridge.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the 28-year-old suspect was apprehended around 1:30 a.m. on May 13, 2025, while attempting to rob a motorist alongside an accomplice who is still at large.
