The Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Iyabo Subulade Yerima, has issued a notice regarding the Eid-el-Fitri break for the High Court of Justice of Oyo State.
Commencing on April 8, 2024, and concluding on April 15, 2024, both dates inclusive, this break is in accordance with Paragraph 4 (d) of Order 55 of the High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2022. During this period, civil actions will only be heard in cases of urgency or with the agreement of all parties concerned.
The Eid-el-Fitri break, an annual observance in the Oyo State judiciary, allows Muslim judges, lawyers, and court staff to celebrate the Islamic festival marking the end of Ramadan.

Legal practitioners and the public are urged to take note of this announcement and plan their legal activities accordingly. Regular operations at the High Court of Justice of Oyo State will resume on April 16, 2024.
