The umbrella association of all indigenes of Delta State studying Law, at both undergraduate and Nigerian Law School level will be holding its first Annual General Conference on the 4th day of November, 2022, at David’s Events Centre, Off Anwai Road, Asaba.
This flagship event is set to host the Chief Judge of Delta State as Special Guest of Honour, in whose honor, the association will be launching her law Journal, titled; DELSAN LAW JOURNAL: (Essays in honour of Honourable Justice T. O. Diai).
The Journal contains a rich digest of intellectual articles bothering on various interests of Law such as Space, Oil and Gas, Environment, Prison Reforms, etc
The journal affords law students across the nation an opportunity to share their ideas and hone their legal writing skills.
The conference will also feature other highlights such as a Keynote Address by the Honourable Attorney General of Delta State, a Career Panel session by notable legal professionals in the state such as the Ekeme Owhovoriole SAN, G.A.I Mowah Esq, Chairman of the NBA Asaba – Precious Nwadimuya, the Chairperson of FIDA Asaba Branch – Hon Stella-Marris Mejulu, Awards Presentation, Talent Exhibition, etc.
The conference will also witness the attendance of the immediate Past President of the National Judicial Institute and a former Chief Judge of Delta State – Hon. Justice Rosaline Bozimo OFR CJ (Rtd), who shall along with the Hon Justice Samuel Oseji JSC (of blessed memory) be conferred with the Association’s revered Lifetime Achievement Award, for their sterling contributions to the Nigerian Justice System.
Delegates are expected to arrive on Thursday the 3rd of November 2022, while the conference proper will take place on the 4th of November 2022, commencing at 10:00am
Other Distinguished guests expected to grace the occasion include notable Judges such as Hon. Justice P.O. Elumeze – President of the Delta State Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Flora Azinge, Hon. Justice Ojugbana-Orishedere Hon. Justice Onome Marshal-Umukoro, etcetera as well as other top lawyers within the state.
The DELSAN AGC will climax with an All White Soirée by 7:pm, at Village Square, by M.G.Way, Asaba .
