Delta court convicts 33 sanitation offenders

Delta State Mobile Court on Saturday convicted 33 persons for violating the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in Warri metropolis.

Magistrate Elehor Vivian sentenced 18 of the convicts to community service, fined six and discharged and acquitted nine others.

The offenders were arrested in different parts of Warri South Local Government Area.

The State Commissioner for Environment, Ejiro Jamani, in the company of the local government chairman, Isaac Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, supervised the sanitation exercise.
