Dear esteemed colleagues,

On International Worker’s Day, I celebrate our invaluable contributions to the society. As guardians of justice, we play a pivotal role in upholding the rule of law, defending human rights, and ensuring access to justice for all.

Our dedication to seeking truth, advocating for fairness, and safeguarding the rights of individuals and communities is commendable. Let us not overlook the challenges that lawyers often face, including long hours, heavy workloads, and sometimes inadequate remuneration.

On this day of recognition, let us also push for further efforts to improve the working conditions and enhance the remuneration of lawyers.

The Legal Practitioner’s Remuneration Order of 2023, is a valuable tool in the pursuit of improving the remuneration of lawyers, as such, we all need to play our part and ensure the order works for the benefit of all lawyers.

By advocating for better working conditions and fair compensation, we not only uplift the legal profession but also ensure that justice is served effectively and efficiently.

Together, let us strive for a future where every lawyer is valued, supported, and empowered to fulfill their vital role in society.

Happy Worker’s Day and Welcome to May!
