Chinyere Obasi in her stance on the limitless capabilities of the women folk has cited Chief (Mrs) Anayo Justina Offiah (nee Iloeje), SAN, (” Mrs Offiah”), Princinpal Partner and Founder of Obra Legal as an untarnished example of her argument. While celebrating the Legal Amazon, Chinyere Obasi described her as a shinning lighthouse in breaking the bias against the female gender.
She went further in her congratulatory message to extol the legal behemoth who has dominated the legal space for over 4 decades, blazing the trail and setting an example for young women to follow. She noted that Women like Mrs Offiah personifies the “breaking the bias” movement in the liberation of the female gender.
Still in her thoughts on the icon of female liberation, Chinyere Obasi expressed total admiration for her for having effectively managed her legal career and her family of six children, being married for over 4 decades. How she managed to achieve a feat as plausible as this explains the whole reason behind why she is highly celebrated. The admiration is further reinforced with the short but powerful secret revealed by the woman in question as being the reason behind her success, to wit: “I don’t make my shopping list in the office and I don’t write my briefs at home”. To Chinyere’s mind, this exemplifies the very essence of womanhood; excelling in family and career(where applicable jointly or severally).
She further noted that what makes Mrs Offiah ‘thick’ is not borne out of a rosy journey, but that she built a magnificent castle with the stones the world threw at her.
The message did not however end without a word of appreciation to the husband of the Dame of the Offiah house, Dr. Evaristus C. Offiah who evidently supported his loving wife and provided the enabling environment for her to thrive, an opportunity a woman as smart as Mrs Offiah did not fail to utilize to its fullest.
Chinyere Obasi, in extolling Mrs Offiah, called on all women to fasten their belts and aim for the sky as same is their start point. She equally encouraged husbands to glory in the success and ambition of their beautiful wives.
