For our secured future, Nigerian Moslems must embrace the Saudi or UAE brand of Islamic Faith which never encourage terrorist ideologies that lead to barbarism and backwardness.
We now live in a more prosperous, progressive, resourceful, pragmatic and dynamic world of the 21st century were interconnectivity has produced a global village. Ours is now a wonderful world of decently cultured, well nurtured, matured, distinguished, and sensible human beings who have come to understand that this world is a better place when we collectively pursue peace and unity as our common interest and destiny.
However, this not withstanding, we still have those who deemed it necessary or essential to go the other way to make sure that we don’t enjoy peace or decent life which is beffiting to the dignity of our human persons.
In Nigeria for instance, we have already been experiencing man made problems and avoidable troubles which we deliberately create for others or for ourselves all in the name of politics, ethnicity or religion. It’s really disheartening to note that it’s the elites in Nigeria who are supposed to be the guardians of the Nigerian social, economic and political spheres of influence in Nigeria that fan the embers of discord, disunity, chaos, ethnic chauvinistic tendencies, religious bigotry that lead to wanton destruction of human lives and properties as we experience it today in astronomical progression.
With respect to religious relationships, Christianity/Christians and Traditional practitioners tend to be more careful and accommodating and receptive to others than some of our Moslem brothers who tend to be more aggressive, intolerant and violet prone all in the name of religion, ethnicity or politics.
I personally think that some of our elites are not really helpful in this matter. The chief amongst the factors that destroy our commonwealth and country is religion especially where it concerned the fundamentalist, jihadist and terrible terrorist ideologies like the Herdsman and Boko Haram that hold no premium on the sanctity of human lives.
It’s really laughable that those who invented the Boko Haram (which means that the western world or way of life must be destroyed) still live in the comfort and good lifestyle provided by the western technological advancements and innovations.
In Christiandom, we say that no one else can be more Catholic than the Pope. Likewise, I have to say that no one else, country or nation who professes the Muslim faith should be more Islamic than the Saudis or Saudi Arabia as a country because Saudi Arabia as far as I am concerned is superior and Distinguished Supreme Headquarters of both the Islamic Faith and Muslim world. Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is a very good, charming and Charismatic Muslim faithful who found it worthwhile to embrace reforms and openness which is in the overall interest Saudi Arabia, Middle East Geopolitical area and the world in general.
It’s equally necessary to point out another disheartening practice of some of our religious leaders, elites and politicians who would like to destroy our commonwealth and selfishly covert same as their personal inheritance by buying choiced properties in United Arab Emirates yet they try to make the uniformed to believe that good things must be jettisoned in the name of religion?
The Nigerian Muslim faithfuls and elites ought to borrow a leaf from both Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates UAE and use religion for peace, unity, progress and national development.
As we celebrate this year’s children’s day being 27th May 2027, we should help our own dearest children have a great day and future because:
1. We have no other country than Nigeria
2. We have to stop the senseless destruction of human beings all over Nigeria, especially in the middle belt, name of land grabbing or religion.
The love of our children’s future should make us to abandon our use of religion, ethnicity or race as destructive instrument division.
