Gunmen stormed the residence of Usman Bamaiyi, Plateau State Commissioner for Environment on Saturday, kidnapped his daughter and wife
A source disclosed that the gunmen came shooting sporadically, while several residents scampered for safety.
ASP Ubah Gabriel, the spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, confirmed the incident
He said men of the Command were already on the trail of the abductors to ensure the safe rescue and release of the victims.
The abduction is coming barely one week after two pastors were abducted in the same area.
It can be recalled that few weeks ago, the son of a serving commissioner was killed by bandits in the same vicinity.
