The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency says it has taken its community awareness campaign to residents of Noforija and Matakobi- T Junction in the Epe area of the state.

The spokesperson for the agency, Adejoke Ladenegan-Oginni, disclosed this in a statement.

According to the statement, the areas visited included Ajijola Anobi Mosque, Imokun Community Central mosque, Celestial Church of Christ – Apata Ayeraye Model Parish, GO Hospital, Emes Nur/Pry School, UPE Primary School, Scholars International School, Redeemed Christian Church of God, More Blessing Society Mosque, Union of Tipper Employer of Nigeria and their environs.

The agency had earlier announced the induction of 201 students, drawn from 20 schools in Education District 6, into the Kings and Queens Club to make them serve as peer educators in the fight against sexual-related crimes in the state.

Ladenegan-Oginni said the door-to-door campaign began last Thursday.

She said, “The community members were informed about the essence of reporting issues of SGBV as the timely report is crucial for investigation. The awareness was taken to Noforija and Matakobi- T Junction areas of Epe land.”
