It is with profound delight, that I felicitate with the Chairman, the Executive Council and the entire
members of the Young Lawyers’ Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Owerri Branch on the auspicious occasion of its Annual Summit, which is scheduled to hold from 17th-19th March, 2022.
The strategic theme for this year’s Summit is tagged; “YESTERDAY, TODAY AND THE FUTURE OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION IN NIGERIA”. This theme no doubt aims particularly at an overview through a reflection on the past; examination of the present and foraying into the future of the legal profession.
It is apt truism that the today is the future we created yesterday, and the best way to predict the future is to create it now. The legal profession has had a chequered history of development through the colonial period up to the evolution of a modern legal profession. It is therefore evident that this august Summit will focus on giving an expository insight into the general and specific nature/status of the profession with a view to assessing its growth and offering a perspective on its development.

of the YLF, Owerri Branch for this remarkable feat. I wish all participants a very successful
summit, and journey mercies.
