A professor of Agriculture Economics, Adebayo Simeon Bamire have been appointed the new Vice-Chancellor for Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

His appointment will take effect from June 7, 2022 when the term outgoing vice chancellor, Prof Eyitope Ogunmodede winds up.
