The meeting was attended by Ohanézè Ndgbo’s leadership, clergy, and members of the Southeast Security Committee.

The Governors advised security forces to apprehend the assailants.

“The meeting opposes the attacks on Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma’s country home and other State infrastructure,” they said.

“We sympathize with him and urge the Federal Government to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators.”

“In her activities, EBUBEAGU will collaborate with the Police and other security forces to secure life and property in the South East,” they said.

“We settled on EBUBEAGU’s framework and organizational modalities, as well as the formation of an Advisory Board,” they said.
The Governors stated that they were working on securing legal backing for the new security firm.

“The Hon. Attorney Generals and Commissioners for Justice of the South East States have been instructed to collaborate with the Joint Security Committee to draft amendments to current State Laws to match the current EBUBEAGU outfit,” they said.

The meeting instructed the Ohaneze Ndigbo President to establish Peace and Reconciliation, as well as Strategy and Welfare Committees, as soon as possible.

“The aim of the South East Peace and Reconciliation Committee is to involve our citizens in promoting peace and stability for ourselves and our guests.

They said, “The Strategy and Welfare Committee will engage and protect our citizens, especially those who are being treated unfairly.”

The governors stated that the committees must be operational within 10 days.
