FIDA Lagos Visits Mrs. Sanwo-Olu, Assures of Readiness to Synergize with State Against Domestic Violence


The Wife of the Lagos State governor,  Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.,  has reiterated the state’s government resolve to partner with agencies to fight against gender inequalities and also the rights of child and women, and less privileged in the vision of rebuilding the state.

She  made this known at her welcome remarks during the courtesy visit of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA Lagos) to her office in Alausa, Ikeja.

The FIDA executives paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency, the Lagos State first lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu to congratulate her for the campaign against rights violation of children and women in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

During the visit, the Chairperson of the FIDA Lagos Branch, Mrs. Phil Nneji, affirms their readiness to synergize and partner with the state in the fight against domestics violence and all forms of gender base problem confronting the society particularly women and children who are the most vulnerable class in our communities.

The First Lady responded in the affirmative. She said, the state will continue to walk in the great vision of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to bring remarkable improvement to the lives of women, girls and children, in vital areas of health, empowerment, education and the protection of their rights.

Mrs. Sanwo-Olu urged FIDA and all women in Lagos State  to rally support for Governor Sanwo-Olu so as to make meaningful contributions to the development of women and children in the state.

A major highlight of the visit to the first lady, was the presentation of a plaque as she was honoured as Epitome of woomanhood and the Matron of FIDA Lagos.

The event had in attendance; the Chairperson FIDA Lagos, Mrs. Phil Nneji; the Secretary, Mrs. Olivia Nwanchukwu; the P.R.O, Mrs. Abimbola Jack Oladugba; the Assistant Secretary, Mrs. Nnenna Eze; and Her worship, Mrs. Aramide Keshinro who is the chairman 2020 Law  Week Committee.
